Dimore di Porzia

Dimore di Porzia is an ancient structure dating back to 1470 AD. c., part of the baronial castle of the town of Racale, near Gallipoli in Salento.
The structure, which has been the subject of a careful restoration work, originally belonged to an ancient family of Sienese origin, the Tolomei, linked to the rulers of Naples and Sicily, who received the fief of Puglia as a gift in 1400.00 electing Racale as his home and making the town flourishing and populous; of this family, we remember the famous Pia dei Tolomei of the Divine Comedy and Porzia dei Tolomei who stayed in these ancient rooms.
Today you can admire the ancient floors with original mosaic, the fireplaces of the Byzantine era and other stone details, staying in the comfortable and spacious rooms equipped with all comforts and air conditioning.
The structure is spread over two floors: a ground floor and a first floor, both composed of two rooms, each with independent entrances and not internally connected.

On the ground floor there is an apartment furnished with period furniture with double bed and sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and mini fridge; next to the main accommodation, there is access to an independent bedroom, with double bed, old fireplace, bathroom with shower; there is an outdoor area with a table in the atrium; all rooms have wardrobe, desk, LCD TV, mini fridge, climate.
The property is located a few meters from the main square, with restaurants, bars and markets a few meters away; the sea is 4 km away, near Torre suda, while the beaches of Gallipoli are about 10 km away
Reaching the nearby structure of the "Garden of the Ptolemies", it will be possible to admire the ancient coat of arms of the Ptolemies with the 3 crescent moons, stopping to taste the dishes of the starred chef Trovado.
The structure is suitable for those who want to experience their holiday in Salento between dives into the atmospheres of the past rooted in historical places and dives into the sea of ​​the splendid golden beaches just a few minutes away by car.
The consumptions of water and gas are included; given the energy emergency, electricity consumption is included up to an appropriate limit, beyond which payment of the difference is required on the spot, as per the meter reading (reading will be provided at check in and check out)

Sheets and bathroom sets not included in the rental cost, can be booked well in advance.

Check-in time: from 5pm to 8pm
Check out time: from 8 to 11

For check in and check out outside the indicated time slot, at the customer's request, and upon acceptance, an additional cost is required:
- for check in after 8.30 pm and up to 10 pm an extra cost of € 30.00;
- for check in from 22:00 to 0:00 an extra cost of € 50.00;
- for check in from midnight to 7:00 euro 100.00.

For early check out, at the request of the customer and after acceptance, from 6 to 8 an extra cost of € 30.00 is required
